Warranty
This Dealer Engine & Transmission Warranty ("Warranty") is provided by Pinkerton Chevrolet of Salem, Virginia in accordance with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and applicable Virginia law. ("Warranty") is provided in accordance with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and applicable Virginia state law. This Warranty applies to the vehicle described on the FTC Used Car Buyer's Guide provided at the time of sale.
Warranty Coverage
This Warranty covers mechanical breakdown of the vehicle’s engine and transmission that results in a failure rendering the vehicle inoperable.Coverage includes: - Internal lubricated components of the engine - Internal lubricated components of the transmission - Any failure of either system that prevents the vehicle from operating
There are no exclusions, exceptions, or limitations to this coverage. If the engine or transmission fails and the vehicle cannot operate as a result, the failure is covered.
Warranty Term
The duration of this Warranty is the period clearly stated on the FTC Used Car Buyer's Guide for this vehicle. The start and end dates of coverage are determined by that document and form a part of this Warranty.
What the Dealer Will DoIf a covered engine or transmission failure occurs during the Warranty period: - The Dealer will repair or replace the failed covered part(s), at no cost to the customer. - Replacement parts may be new, remanufactured, or used, at the Dealer’s discretion. - Repairs will be performed by the Dealer or a repair facility authorized by the Dealer.
Owner Responsibilities
To obtain service under this Warranty, the owner must: 1. Stop operating the vehicle immediately upon experiencing an engine or transmission failure. 2. Notify the Dealer as soon as possible. 3. Deliver the vehicle to the Dealer immediately.
Limitations of Coverage
This Warranty provides coverage solely for the engine and transmission as described above. It does not cover: - Any system or component other than the engine or transmission. - Any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to towing, rental, lodging, or lost wages.
However, no engine or transmission failure that renders the vehicle inoperable will be excluded from coverage under any circumstances.
Transferability
This Warranty is not transferable and applies only to the purchaser listed on the sales documents for the covered vehicle.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes regarding this Warranty will be handled in accordance with the procedures permitted under Virginia law and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
Warranty Summary Statement
This Warranty ensures that any engine or transmission failure that makes the vehicle unable to operate is covered during the Warranty period stated on the FTC Used Car Buyer's Guide. There are no exceptions to this Warranty.
